i don’t really know why github copilot makes me so mad except that it is an unimaginably large theft of labor value and an astonishing way to perpetuate artificially low development costs. we need unions and we get the scabbiest possible scab tool for scabs
Does anyone actually use it for real work? I would think the copyright issues and the complete lack of evidence of correctness would scare everyone off.
@garbados Right. If it was, I don't know, Debian or FSF that came up with this, it would have been a very different situation.

I'm wondering how Nat is planning to simultaneously launder code to make a product using open source projects that doesn't need to follow the GPL, while also managing to avoid any liability for security bugs.
I'm sure he'll find a way, you don't get to be that rich from running open source companies without knowing how to game the system.
